Education goes beyond academics, emphasized Dr. Sridhar Saraswathy, Neuroscientist and Chairman of the International Institute of medical science technology Council , during the graduation ceremony of United Pre-Graduate and Graduate College in the city.
Speaking as the chief guest, he highlighted the importance of instilling morals in students, stating, “Children who grow up under the guidance of gurus, elders, and practitioners are less likely to stray from the right path. Parents should foster emotional connections with their children, treating them as unique creations. Students can only gain profound knowledge through humility.”
Dr. Sreedhar Saraswathy further stressed the significance of commitment in the business sector, suggesting that with dedication, companies can achieve great heights. He urged everyone to lead a meaningful life, contributing positively to society.

Addressing the students, DRDO Senior Scientist Dr. Javed Qamar remarked, “Failure is the stepping stone to success. Students should dream big and pursue their aspirations in education with relentless efforts. Your education should not just be a pathway to a job but should serve as a tool for societal progress.” He encouraged lifelong learning, adding that education shapes personality and drives meaningful growth.

Dr. Selvaraj, Director of the Indian Social Institute, urged students to develop an interest in new subjects and learn from the selfless service of great achievers. “By following the footsteps of exemplary individuals, students can achieve great success,” he said.

He said, “A person’s life should echo with purpose, even after their passing. Students must avoid becoming mechanized and instead uphold human values.”
The event saw notable personalities such as Khatija Umar, Anwar Sharif, and Manjesh Kumar as chief guests. Dr. D.C. Chitralingaiah, Head of the Kannada Department at RNS First Grade College and a young critic, was honored with the Shiksha Ratna Award by United Education Institute for his contributions to education.
